چکیده

Introduction Metaplastic breast carcinoma (MBC) is defined as cancer with a heterologous non-glandular component. MBC considered special type of prognosis that worse than invasive ductal (IDC) the breast. most common triple-negative profile. Therefore, in this study, we evaluated clinicopathological parameters, recurrence and survival our population. Methods We conducted retrospective observational study Department Histopathology at Prince Faisal Oncology Centre, Buraidah, Saudi Arabia, over period five years. All cases diagnosed were included study. Estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone (PR), human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2/neu) immunohistochemistry (IHC) was performed on representative tissue blocks. Results Total 183 MBCs out which 120 excision specimens. The mean age patients 48.84±12.99 years, group between 36 50 years age. Most tumor (T) stage T3 (50%), nodal metastasis present 40% cases. grade III (78.7%). ER, PR HER2/neu positivity noted 15.8%, 13.1%, 9.8% cases, respectively. Follow-up data were available for 70 median follow-up 4 (1-7) years. Tumor 31.4% rate 71.4%. Squamous, chondroid, spindle cell differentiation, matrix production 70.5%, 7.1%, 13.7%, 2.2% A significant association squamous differentiation positivity. An inverse seen axillary metastasis. Survival analysis by Kaplan-Meier revealed recurrence. Conclusion MBC an important subtype cancer, histopathological identification challenging, owing to varied histological differentiation. We found be MBC, associated high also observed significantly survival.
